The National Center for the Study of Collective Bargaining in Higher Education and the Professions at Hunter College is conducting a national survey to collect current information about academic union density in higher education. The data collected will form the basis for another open-source directory of collective bargaining relationships and links to contracts. The last complete directory was published in 2012, and a supplementary directory was published in late 2020.
Many faculty unions have not submitted responses to our survey. We strongly urge you to make sure that your union submits a response to the electronic survey to ensure that we have accurate current data by March 31st.
