The Adjunct faculty of Rutgers University teach 30% of Rutgers courses. Despite teaching a third of classes, adjunct faculty’s salaries comprise less than 1% of the University’s budget, and these workers are not offered affordable healthcare coverage or job security. They’ve been working without a contact since June, and Rutgers’ top management has stalled negotiations for several months. Additionally, they have yet to respond to key contract demands: 1. Equal Pay for Equal Work, 2. Job Security, and 3. Access to Affordable Healthcare. Help them win their transformational demands and end the tiered teaching system at Rutgers – donate to the Rutgers Adjunct Faculty Union Strike Fund today!
