The Drexel provost’s office is proposing to drastically reduce the length of non-tenure track faculty contracts and to gut the current NTT policy, PO-85. These proposed expedited, top-down unilateral cuts will:
- damage student learning conditions
- significantly erode NTT job security
- undermine faculty shared governance and academic freedom
- disrupt course planning and continuity for departments and centers across Drexel
- harm Drexel’s educational environment during a vulnerable period of academic transformation
