From our colleagues at the Texas State Employees Union (TSEU-CWA 6186):
Dr. Idris Robinson is facing institutional repression for voicing his solidarity with Palestinian liberation. Colleagues are raising funds for his legal fees.
Since June, Texas State University has been quietly moving to terminate Dr. Idris Robinson following an online harassment campaign that targeted him for comments made during an off-campus talk. Idris was a tenure-track professor when the university suddenly decided to end his contract following a campaign of harassment for his political views in favor of a free Palestine. We believe that the freedom to clarify ideas is essential to the concrete struggle for freedom itself. Please consider supporting Idris and his family during this time of mounting legal fees as he defends himself against the repressive university system moving to silence voices of resistance and dissent.
