Tufts workers are asking folks to write a letter to university leadership in support of an excellent union contract for facilities staff represented by SEIU 32BJ. Their core demands are:
- Strong, family-sustaining wage increases;
- Reducing healthcare costs;
- Job protections for immigrant workers;
- Union Training Fund, providing Green Buildings courses; and
- Union Legal fund, paying for all employees’ attorneys’ fees in a variety of matters.
The labor performed by SEIU 32BJ is essential to keeping Tufts running and its academic output cutting-edge. These union members deserve nothing less than an excellent union contract.
