Sign your name to urge the LCC Board of Education to provide a fair contract for LCC faculty, including:
- Fair pay for all faculty with pay parity for part-time faculty, including Flight Tech instructors and coaches;
- Reasonable workloads with limited class sizes to allow instructors to best support students, and equitable workload calculations for lab instruction;
- Essentials for working conditions, including sufficient budgeting for LCC’s instructional and student services mission, faculty job security, academic freedom, private offices, up-to-date hardware and software, and ethics and integrity in search processes;
- Necessities for student success such as staffing to support students’ ADA accommodations; robust staffing of counseling, mental health, advising, and tutoring; support for student food and housing needs; funding for faculty to develop and adopt OERs to reduce student costs; and reduced textbook mark-up at the bookstore;
- A safe, healthy campus by ensuring LCC is prepared for any public health emergency and ready in the event of a lockdown with, for example, classroom doors with working locks; and
- Association Rights and Legal Compliance, by making updates to align with changes in state law and providing the union a safe meeting space on campus.
