On May 28, 2025, UNC Charlotte fired Janique Sanders within hours after the extremist organization Accuracy in Media released hidden camera footage of her discussing UNC’s DEI policies. The Charlotte AAUP has strongly condemned this harassment of staff and this firing. This sets a dangerous precedent as free speech is under attack and faculty, staff, and students are vulnerable across the UNC system. Join us in taking action by sending a letter of concern to Chancellor Sharon Gaber.”
