Overview

International higher ed workers continue to face escalating attacks under the Trump administration, with little response from most university administrations. We are building a sustained, grassroots organizing campaign to pressure our institutions to stand up for International workers. Organizers from across campuses have drafted a letter of COLLECTIVE DEMANDS.

The goal of this ICWP project is to gather union endorsements from at least 150 campuses nationwide and jointly deliver these demands to university administrations with a day-of-action on or before Oct 21st 2025. (For scale, there are over 6,000 unionized degree-granting institutions in the US.) Join us in building a network of organizers, sharing our demands, spreading the word, and delivering a version of this letter to campus administrations.

We will officially launch the ICWP campaign on the week of September 1st 2025 (Labor Day week) with visibility events and outreach actions to share our demands with co-workers and build campus-wide support, as well as the launch of our website and a coordinated social media campaign.
