Support PCCFFAP and its members during a potential strike

From our colleagues at Portland Community College Faculty Federation and Academic Professionals (PCCFFAP):

Part-Time Faculty, Full-Time Faculty, and Academic Professionals at Portland Community College are standing up for each other, for our students, for our communities, and for great public education. Sign this pledge to stand united with PCC workers in demanding a contract that ensures:

  • Fair Pay – COLAs that keep up with the cost of living; Steps that reflect experience; A Fair compensation and classification system
  • Affordable Health Insurance – Increase PCC’s contribution to health insurance premiums
  • No Cuts to Programs – Preserve public education and cut management bloat.
  • Shared Governance – Decisions should be made inclusively and democratically
  • Equity for Part-time Faculty – Pay parity, unlimited sick leave accrual, healthcare reimbursement, and more
  • Stop Exploiting Academic Labor – Fair compensation for trainings, bilingual skills, advanced degree holders, non-instructional work, Faculty Department Chairs and Subject Area Committee Chairs

Additionally, the PCCFFAP Executive Council has established a Strike Fund as a safety net for members in the event of a strike. The goal is to save enough to support those who would be at-risk of losing basic needs (like healthcare and housing) during a strike.
