After a whirlwind two months of rapid AAUP growth and actions to restore recognition of St. John’s faculty unions, this semester is nearing its end. On Tuesday, May 12th, the university Board of Trustees will meet on campus in advance of Commencement ceremonies. This is your last opportunity of this semester to ensure that the Board of Trustees meets with and listens to the St. John’s community and our allies.
On Tuesday, May 12th from 12:45-2:00pm, join the “Hands Off St. John’s Faculty Unions” campaign and allies from the NYC Metro Coalition for Higher Ed for a rally and picket outside Gate 1 of the Queens campus. Our demand is simple: “Come back to the bargaining table with faculty, as you have done for 56 years. Stop wasting university labor and resources on union-busting!“
