Support Workers at UW Libraries & Press

University of Washington Libraries, Gallagher Law Library, and UW Press workers have authorized a strike!

The UW Libraries Union has been in contract negotiations for a first collective bargaining agreement for over a year. UW Libraries and Press workers demand that the University stop delaying negotiations, stop degrading workplace protections, stop proposing a two-tiered system between professional staff and librarians, and provide a fair compensation proposal.

Support their strike fund here! Funds will support Libraries and Press workers experiencing financial hardship due to the impact of a strike. Any contributions in excess of participant need will be donated to the MLK Labor Hardship Fund.

You can also sign on to a letter of community support for UW Libraries & Press workers.
