Adjunct Faculty United (AFT 6106 – AdFac), a union of adjunct faculty in the North Orange County Community College District (NOCCCD), asks for solidarity in their fight for fair wages and benefits for adjunct faculty.
NOCCCD has not agreed to AdFac’s proposal for healthcare. Under new state law, it would cost the district nothing to provide adjunct workers with the same healthcare benefits they provide to full-time faculty. AdFac is calling for:
- Full healthcare benefits for those who work a 40% load. This means access to the same family medical benefits as full-time faculty.
- Full healthcare benefits for those who work in multiple districts.
